Group Blog: Final Task

For my final task project, I've decided to work alone. I also worked alone for both my music video and commercial projects. Working alone in these two projects turned out good for me. While there were challenges in both of the projects, I was able to overcome these challenges pretty easily. These projects taught me so much about working alone. Due to these two projects, I think I am adequately prepared to work alone for my final task. Although I'm sure it will be challenging, I know that I will be able to get everything done by myself. I've already done everything by myself twice, so I am confident that I'll be able to do it again this time.

My reasons for wanting to work alone on this project are mostly the same as my reasons for wanting to work alone on my music video and commercial projects. There are a lot of reasons for this. Mainly, I believe that I work better alone. In past group projects, I've always noticed that it would be easier for me to just do everything myself instead of working with a group of people. I have always preferred solo work over group work. A lot of the time, the solo work that I turn in is better than the group work I turn in. This is a huge reason for me wanting to work alone on this project.

Additionally, group projects can be messy and unorganized. There can be a lot of miscommunication and confusion over who is doing what or what needs to be completed. In addition to this, many group members just fail to complete their work. In many group projects I've done, there has been one person who just does not do anything, and the whole group gets a worse grade because of them. I would rather not risk this scenario for this final task, as it is very important to me that I do well on it.

Intro: Final Task

Hi, my name is Aiden Hurst. I am currently sixteen years old. I'm in 10th grade right now. I go to Fort Lauderdale High School and have been here since 9th grade.

I was born in Florida and I've lived here my entire life. Over the course of the school year, I have learned a lot in my media studies class. I've developed my skills as a filmmaker and editor. Although I have not yet mastered these skills, I am still mostly confident in my abilities. When I first started this class, I knew next to nothing about editing, filming, and the overall filmmaking process. Since then, I have learned quite a bit about these things. I am now quite knowledgeable about the filmmaking process, and all the steps it takes to actually make a film. Additionally, my experience with filming and editing has grown tremendously during the course of this school year. My commercial and music video projects definitely helped me develop all my skills. They were challenging, but overall I am proud of the work I accomplished during them.

I will be starting my final task very soon. Overall, I am excited and nervous about this final task. I am excited to put my skills and knowledge to the test, and hopefully make a good and entertaining short film opening. However, I am a bit nervous and worried about this project, as it seems very challenging. There are a lot of things to do in this project, and some of them look quite difficult. Despite this, I am sure that I will be able to complete the project and create something that I am proud of.

The opening credits of my film will be in the Goudy Old Style font. I really like the way this font looks, and think it fits my film well. ...
